DCC VP and Life Member Awards 2025

At Sunday’s AGM we were delighted to bestow the following in recognition of their dedicated service and support of Dartford Cricket Club:

NIGEL KNAPP becomes a Vice President in addition to his Life Membership.  For those who do not know Nigel that well, he was a long standing regular and opening bowler of the First XI during the 1990’s and 2000’s prior to moving to Australia.  An expert in computer technology, Nigel was instrumental in establishing the core backbone infrastructure of our club website which he has continued to support remotely from Australia.  This has taken greater significance in recent months with the reconstruction of the website that has taken place and, again, Nigel has worked tirelessly in support of Surge and the team.  The Club is very appreciative of such commitment.

DAN SUPPLE becomes a Life Member.  Dan first joined Dartford Cricket Club over twenty years ago starting in the junior section.  Since that time Dan has played for many years at a variety of senior levels and was recently Captain and wicketkeeper of the 2nd XI for a few years until he stepped down from that post at the end of the 2023 season.  Dan was a regular throughout the 2024 season playing some of his best cricket as a wicketkeeper which, in turn, went a long way to seeing the 2nd XI promoted as champions!  Although Dan announced his “retirement” from the game at the end of season he continues to serve and make a positive contribution to ManCo.
