Dartford is proud to be one of the world’s oldest cricket clubs with a long and rich history dating back to 1727. The club celebrated its 275th anniversary in 2003.
We are one of Kent’s largest and leading clubs and our home ground, Hesketh Park, having recently undergone a significant development of its facilities, is one of the county’s finest grounds and a former home to Kent County Cricket Club. It is a wonderful setting for players and spectators on matchdays.
Senior & junior cricket
The club has a strong senior section with teams also playing at our grounds at Waller Park and Oakfield Park, Wilmington. We also have a progressive junior section which is fully integrated into the club structure and provides an excellent coaching programme and practice facilities for young people aged 6 and above.
There is a considerable fixture list for juniors at all age levels with strong competitive teams from Under 11 to Under 17 as well as thriving ECB All Stars and Dynamos Cricket programmes.
The likes of former England great Graham Dilley, Kent’s Derek Ufton and Trevor Ward all grew up playing their cricket in Dartford. We are proud that many young players developed through our system have gone on to receive county and national recognition in recent years too.
Equal opportunities
Dartford is an equal opportunities club that has held Focus Club and Clubmark status (awarded once again in 2018) for a number of years and is actively involved in the community. We have a dedicated Equality, Diversity and Inclusion lead (ED&I) who is the first port of call for all players who are looking to join the club or may wish to discuss issues they would like to raise.
The Club supports exists to provide access to cricket for all and we have created a family-orientated environment in which all players feel supported and valued as members.
