Snowy running in the London Marathon

Former 1st XI club captain and club legend Jeff Snowden (Snowy) is running the marathon this year and everyone at DCC wishes him the best of luck (rather him than me!!). Please see below message from Snowy and give him your support.

I’m taking part in the Virgin London Marathon 2010 on 25th April 2010 to raise money for The Children’s Trust Tadworth and I’d really appreciate your support.

Please have a look at the Children’s Trust website (http://www.thechildrenstrust.org.uk) to see who and how you’re helping. I had the privilege of meeting some of the children at the Trust’s Summer Fayre. Although their predicament is heartbreaking, they are truly inspirational. The money you donate will help transform their lives, providing the facilities and opportunities that the children need to lead happy and fulfilled lives.

JustGiving sends your donation straight to The Children’s Trust and automatically reclaims Gift Aid if you’re a UK taxpayer, so your donation is worth even more. I hope you’ll join me in supporting The Children’s Trust. Every donation, however big or small, will help me reach my target for the Trust.

In addition to this, I also have 2 signed Cricket shirts from 2009. I have an Essex one day shirt, kindly donated by Matt Walker and a Kent 4 day shirt kindly donated by Simon Willis. I have listed the signatures on each of these below. As you’ll see, plenty of past and present Internationals on there. If you make a separate donation of £2 (you need to make sure the box in regard to a product in return for my donation is not ticked for this one) and put on the comments, Essex or Kent, I will enter you in to the appropriate draw for that shirt and draw the names on 30 April 2010.
