The Darts take maximum 20 points after another batting first win at Hesketh Park. Garry Cook 65, Jim Lowrie 46, Joe Murphy 34, Adam Clarke 33 not out as the Darts post 236-7 off 50 overs. In reply Catford & Cyphers were all out for 170 in the 33rd over with Brinn Osland taking his first DCC 5 wicket haul (5-59), Sam Jewiss (3-51), Adam Clarke (1-23) and Sunny Birring (1-13) also taking wickets. The 2nd XI remain top of the league after grinding out a losing draw at St Lawrence & Highland Court. The home side posted 279-7 off their 50 overs with Craig Partridge the pick of the bowlers with 2-39 off his 15 overs. In reply the Darts reached 225-5 at the close with Kevin Webb 44, and Adam Ferris scoring 87 not out. Match report to follow.

3s stay fourth despite losing
Blackheath 5th XI vs Dartford CC 3rd XI
Result – Blackheath win by 54 runs

The 3rds pushed Blackheath all the way despite going down by 54 runs. With half the usual team missing up in the 2s, the Darts put up a resilient display, Blackheath posting 268-5 off 46 overs, opening batsman scoring most the runs with 135 not out. James Wiles picked up 2-38 on his DCC debut from his 12 overs. In reply a number of batsman got starts, but only Wiles kicked on to reach 75. 120 runs were required from the last 20 overs at just six an over, but the Darts chances faded when Bali was run out and Carter departed trying to keep up with the rate. The Darts finished 214 all out to pick up valuable bonus points and stay 4th in the table. Match report to follow.

Result – Dartford win by 129 runs

Dartford batted first in a reduced overs game due to the weather putting on 217 for 7 off 40 overs. Top scorers were Malcolm Stroudley (62), Steve Hirst (53) in his usual manner before being bowled, and Joe Reynolds a very good 27 playing some lovely straight drives.

Bickley Park were all out for 88 off 32.1 overs faced, top scorers being N Warr 55, C Jacobs 9, R Brewer 5. Pick of the Dartford bowlers were Satish Yeruva 6.1-2-18-4, Bill Partridge 10-3-23-3, Shaun Park 9-2-21-2 and Ross Thompson 7-1-25-0. Dartford fielded well and overall a good performance.
