Colts start the season with wins...

Our u11 and u15 teams got their season off to a winning start last week with wins against Chislehurst and West Kent CC, and Old Wilsonians CC.

The u11 team played Chislehurst and West Kent CC on Saturday 8 May at Waller Park winning by 20 runs. DCC posted a score of 99-6 from our 24 overs, Suraj Johal scoring an excellent 25 retired not out. When DCC took the field all of the hard work in training over the winter months paid dividends and Chislehurst and West Kent CC were bowled out for 79. Congratulations to William Slater, Harry Cullingham, Laven Selvaratnum, Jack Berrecloth, Henry Clark, and Ben Rossiter who all took wickets, and Caitlin Fox opening the bowling on her debut.

The u15 team faced Old Wilsonians CC on Sunday 9 May at Hesketh Park winning by 77 runs. DCC batted first and scored 147-6 off our 24 overs, with John Smyth 53 not out, Jack Scarth 26, and Josh Bowater 27 not out. The Darts then bowled Old Wilsonians CC out for 70 with Fahrat Islam taking 4 wickets for just 2 runs in his 3 overs.

Elsewhere this week, the u16 team put up a spirited fight against Gravesend CC on Friday 7 May, and the u17 team narrowly lost to Upchurch CC on Tuesday 4 May in the Medway Cup.
