About the Club

Dartford is proud to be one of the world's oldest Cricket Clubs with a long and rich history dating back to 1727. The club celebrated it’s 275th anniversary in 2003. We are one of Kent's largest and leading clubs, and our home ground, Hesketh Park, is one of the county’s finest grounds and a former home of Kent County Cricket Club. It is a wonderful setting for players and spectators on match days.

The club has a strong senior section and a progressive Junior Academy which is fully integrated into the club structure and provides an excellent coaching programme and practice facilities for young people aged 6 and above. There is a considerable fixture list for colts at all age levels with strong competitive teams from under 9s to under 17s.

Former England great Graham Dilley grew up playing his cricket at Dartford, as well as Kent’s Derek Ufton and Trevor Ward.

Dartford has been awarded Focus Club and Clubmark status and is actively involved in the community supporting the excellent work of the Dartford Schools Sports Network.

The club is an equal opportunities club and supports cricket on a number of levels, in local primary and secondary schools, district cricket for Gravesham and Dartford, and also on the County level for Kent. The club is also actively supporting the development of women's and disabled cricket, with a keen interest to provide cricketing opportunities for all the community.
